The
Humane Society of Southern Arizona is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to the general welfare,
sheltering and placement of animals; prevention
of cruelty to animals and animal overpopulation;
education concerning humane treatment of animals;
and involvement in other animal welfare issues.
The Hermitage
is Tucson’s first no-kill, no-cage facility
(except for quarantine). We are located in central
Tucson, northwest of the intersection of 22nd
Street and Craycroft. If you are visiting Tucson,
why waste your time wandering the streets looking
for fake cowboy hangouts when you can tour the
rooms of Tucson’s most famous cat house?
Designed
to assist law enforcement, criminal justice
and animal protection professionals in the identification
and successful prosecution of crimes against
animals. It also contains information which
may be valuable to the public in helping to
prevent animal cruelty and other forms of violence.
